Some of you know, and some don't, but my babysitter Abby and I sent in an audition tape for Biggest Loser. They announced that they were doing couples again and it just seemed like the perfect time for both of us. We worked so hard on the tape and made it really unique. Well, I just found out that their next season of couples is going to be Couples: Family! They decided to only take blood relatives for this next season. I wish so badly that they would have specified that prior to us making and sending in our tape. Talk about disapointment! I am under the impression that the next season (2 from now) will be BL Couples again with no restrictions. I am sure we would have applied for that one had we known. Now, our demo tape is gone in their hands. As far as I know they won't keep those audition tapes for casting season 7, but who knows.
Now, because we applied and said that we were committed to losing weight, we need to stick to our guns. I'm in the process of coming up with a rigid fitness plan for both of us to do. We will have to seriously adjust our eating as well. I know Abby is on board too. Enough is enough and we don't need a tv show to make it happen. So any advice, tips or suggestions are welcome! We will need help and encouragement from everyone!

That's the best mentality to have...I am SOOOO bummed you guys didn't get on the show...I thought for sure you would have with how great your stories are, but that's ok. Now it's just time to make it happen on your own. I would think about maybe going to curves to start out a moderate workout. I know it's no Jillian and seems "easy" and I've never even used it myself, but I think for Abby's sake, she might be most comfortable in that ladies only environment. You guys could also do laps around the college track when the weather is good. I think the key to exercise is to switch it up on a regular basis. Weights, walking, aerobics, etc. Your body gets used to monotony. You know that I've been doing Weight Watchers and love it, so I always recommend that. But, just try and keep whatever you do simple. It's not hard to eat good food, it's just different. It doesn't have to be this big, complex health regime that takes books and books to figure. Look at how great Mommy has done just by eating "clean" and counting calories. You guys can do it and really you should both just tell yourselves you have no choice. I had one of those talks with myself the first time around. Kind of got myself scared into doing it. "You're going to be diabetic one day...you're going to have a heart attack". There's so much info out there that we're too smart to stay fat. Hey, doens't that sound like a great book or something? "Too smart to stay fat"....I like that! Anyway, I'll be praying for you guys that Biggest Loser or not, you'll reach your weight loss goals.
I agree, although I never tire of my ritual (I'm strange)—because I vary the music I exercise to. Treadmill tunes, baby.
