Well, my drawing class is coming to an end. I've learned so much in just the 5 1/2 weeks. I'm in a class with such talented people it's actually been very humbling most of the time. So I thought I would show you all how far I've come. The first of these is an assignment where I had to show the different "shade values" in my drawing. It's almost like on a selvage of fabric where you see all the colors that are used. I drew my plastic bag holder. She's a doll at the top, but her skirt holds the bags. She looked so happy I thought she would be fun to draw. For the next assignment we had to do a complex sketch of a room in our home. I decided to do the main bathroom. I really wanted to do this because of the walls. There are several angles that I wanted to get just right. There are a few changes I had to make. The border around the room actually has a camping scene. I couldn't do all the detail of it in such a small space, so I just made it a solid color. I also did the molding in a dark color for interest more than anything.
Next week our final is do. I have come a long way, but I will be glad when this class is over! It's been so much to learn in such a short time. I think I will keep sketching though. I like the challenge, but will love not worrying about the grade!
The next class is Color Theory. I am really looking forward to this one! I have to buy paints for it!!! Yippee!!!

HI Katie! It's great to see another post on here! And what a GREAT job you've done with your drawing. Man! It's hard to get all that shading and all the angles just right and I'm very impressed with your talent. Definitely don't give it up...you seem to be a natural!
Dear Katie: Mommy is so proud of you! What great work...honestly I can't imagine trying to draw such detail like that...and you are left handed!! Amazing work and no, don't give up...who cares what the others are doing!! This is your journey...love, Mommy
